COVID-19 and our Destination Hilo Programs/Hilo Hula Saturday begins July 4

Since the middle of March we have had to close down our programs due to the Stay at Home orders.  Museums and parks have been closed.  Shops and restaurants are slowly re-opening; however, the museums and our Hilo Hula Tuesday program remain closed.  Our Aloha Information Station in Downtown Hilo also remains closed.  Stay tuned for updates on our programs.  For now we are focused on recovery of Hilo’s businesses.
Beginning in July, there will be a lively Hilo Hula Saturday event twice a month from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Downtown Hilo.  On Saturday, July 4th we will be in front of Wild HeArtist (216 Kamehameha Ave) and on July 25 in front of One Gallery (186 Kamehameha Ave).  Please join us for hula from 11 a.m. to 12 noon, story telling from 12 noon to 12:30 with Leilehua Yuen, and Hawaiian music from 12:30 to 2 p.m.  Beginning in August, we will host our Saturday program in Downtown Hilo in front of one of the shops every 2nd and 4th Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Please wear your mask and EXPERIENCE DOWNTOWN HILO.  The shops and restaurants and Farmers Market look forward to seeing you!
